Madison Times - "Paving the way to a positive future"

We were featured in another article published by the Madison Times. The article highlights the importance of the FAFSA form and tips for filing.

From the author, Anita Martin: "Fill out the FAFSA form each and every year you or your child will attend school, make sure that it is correct, file even if you think your income is too high to qualify for college financial assistance."

We were recently featured in an article published by the Madison Times. The article highlights many of the topics covered in the workshop and their importance in a successful college process.

From the author Anita Martin: This article just scratches the surface, when it comes to preparing for and paying for college. I strongly encourage you to attend one of the upcoming free workshops and find out how you can help your son or daughter make college a reality.

Project on Student Debt

For Americans of all socio-economic backgrounds, borrowing has become a primary way to pay for higher education. The Project on Student Debt works to increase public understanding of this trend and the implications for our families, economy, and society. Recognizing that loans play a critical role in making college possible, the Project's goal is to identify cost-effective solutions that expand educational opportunity, protect family financial security, and advance economic competitiveness.

College Endowments Soar, But Colleges Keep The Purse Strings Tight

NACUBO Endowment Study

Wisconsin Covenant

Be advised: Students will not receive any additional money for college or free tuition if they join the Wisconsin Covenant. Students that successfully fill the covenant requirements receive:

* Recognition as a Wisconsin Covenant Scholar.

* A place in a University of Wisconsin system institution, Wisconsin Technical College, or a Wisconsin private college or university.

* A financial aid package based on my family’s federally-defined financial need.

"The Other College" Retention and Completion Rates at 2-Year Colleges

Many people consider starting at a 2-year college then transferring to a 4-year college to complete their degree. The primary motivation for this is cost. This article casts doubts on whether this is a pragmatic approach. While it may be cheaper, students are more than 2x as likely to drop-out before they graduate if they start at a 2-Year school.
